MMA icon and former UFC women’s featherweight champion ‘Cris Cyborg’ has touched down in South Africa.
Cyborg (20-2), widely considered one of the greatest female fighters on the planet, is in the country to conduct a seminar in Johannesburg on Saturday.
The event is set to start at 10h00 at Apex MMA Gym at the Sandton View Shopping Centre in Bryanston.
SA’s only active UFC fighter Don Madge (8-3-1) has helped the 33-year-old Brazilian destroyer, real name Cristiane Justino, prepare for title bouts in the past as a sparring partner.
Cyborg has not fought since losing the belt to UFC champ-champ Amanda Nunes (17-4) in December 2018, her first defeat in over 13 years.
Madge, who trains at Coach Quan University in Jo’burg, is currently angling for a scrap with Scotland’s Steven Ray (22-8).
