The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
"All's Well That Ends Wishing Well"

"All's Well That Ends Wishing Well" is the fourth episode of the second season of The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. It originally aired on ABC on September 30, 1989.

    Synopsis

When Tigger first finds out about birthdays, he makes a bunch of wishes which cannot be fulfilled, resulting in an incredible adventure inside the Hundred Acre Wood's wishing well.

    Plot

Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Eeyore are at the wishing well. Piglet throws in a penny wishing for a penny. Rabbit is about to make a wish, but Tigger bounces on him, and his penny falls into the well. Pooh wishes for his birthday to come 7 to 8 times a year! Tigger wonders why his wishes never come true (despite the fact he uses buttons for pennies) and asks where he can find birthdays. Eventually, he discovers he doesn't have a birthday. Tigger's friends feel bad for him, and before you know it, they are throwing a first birthday party for him.

Tigger bounces into the wood to start his wishing, and Pooh, Piglet, Rabbit and Eeyore plan a meeting to see what they have got for Tigger. Piglet has got him an inflatable duck to help him swim, but it deflates when it hits a coat hook. Rabbit has got him a Tigger suit with a weight on the tail (to stop him bouncing). Pooh and Eeyore go to Tigger, who is still planning wishes (even wishing for the moon as a nightlight) and making a mud cake for ideas on what to get him, but cannot decide. Tigger's birthday party comes, and Eeyore gives Tigger himself, and Pooh gives him wrapping paper! At the time of the cake, Tigger wishes for everything.

But at the end, when Tigger learns there are no more presents, he is sad that he refused to get everything he wanted and walks out the house. Pooh leaves with an intent to catch the moon for Tigger, and sits on the roof of the wishing well with a fishing rod. When the moon's reflection appears in the wishing well, Pooh ends up falling into the well and entering Wishland, a secret place in the wishing well. Tigger, Rabbit, Eeyore and Piglet find out that Pooh has fallen in and try to rescue him,

but end up falling in themselves. The place illuminates with giant balloons, birthday hats and ribbons everywhere.

They find a Tigger-striped cake with hundreds of candles. Tigger refuses to believe Wishland at first, but when Tigger's wishes of a peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich and a root beer to wash it down come true, Tigger starts wishing random things, Pooh's gonna have the time of his life, cause Tigger's wishing him all of the honey he's ever dreamed of, with a great big pot to put it in, for Piglet, a gazillion bushels of acorns and a thousand carrots for Rabbit wanted. Rabbit makes tells Tigger every time he makes a wish, a candle blows out, now there are only two left. Tigger wishes for a banana split, meaning there is only one left. Rabbit says that he's got to wish them home. At first, Tigger refuses to, but he learns that staying there would eventually get boring. Tigger wishes them all home.

In the morning, Tigger wakes up in his home and finds some string leading out of his home. He follows it, and finds two presents for him. They are the two things he most wanted for his birthday: a banana split and a pogo stick! Soon, Tigger is wrecking Rabbit's garden with his pogo stick, and Rabbit is angry!

For my 2nd baby girl's 1st birthday, on Saturday, April 13, her party was fairy themed. We contacted Wishing Well Entertainment because the other company that we did business before stated that we are too far out of their range. We had Miss Scarlet as our Rainbow Fairy and she came right on time. She was ready to entertain our little ones and the one worry I had was that the boys would not be entertained by Miss Scarlet, because "fairies are for girls" (yes, that old stereotype! lol) But after Miss Scarlet got things going, both girls and boys were enjoying her storytelling and face painting and she leads the Happy Birthday song to our 1-year-old! Very professional and courteous, would recommend Miss Scarlet and Wishing Well Entertainment!

We had Marilyn come to our Mortgage Office and she was AMAZING! Looked incredible, had incredible interaction with the birthday girl, was funny, amazing voice, pure entertainment. Then she went around the office and sang songs for the rest of the staff, took pictures, continued the show for 45 min. The entire office staff LOVED her! Job will done, highly recommended for your next birthday or event.

This review is long overdue even though we just hired this company only 2 weeks ago! We have a Phenomenal experience when we hired a Mary Poppins character to our daughters 4 year old birthday party. Mary Poppins was played by Monica R. and she was AMAZING!!! Such a professional, she emailed me a week prior to our event to introduce herself and asked questions to help personalize the experience for our daughter. The day of the event, she was in complete character from the phone call to the moment she arrived and the moment she left. In fact, a couple of my daughters friends, who were 6 year olds CRIED when she left because they truly believed Monica was the Real Mary Poppins!!! Monica has an Incredible voice and sang Beautifully, read a book, played games, took pictures and sang Happy Birthday during cake cutting time. Even when I handed her a bottle of water (with a straw), she would turn around away from the kids to drink it to completely stay in character! All of my friends and family were Very Impressed with her performance and the overall company was professional and timely when it came to responding to emails. I HIGHLY Recommend this company and Monica R. as Mary Poppins!!!

This is our second time inviting a prince from wishing well, and it is still amazing! We hired Melody as Elsa for our daughter's 4 year old birthday, she was absolutely wonderful! She sang all the song with her amazing voice and lead all the kids into the magical story. She did face paint for all the kids and she is good with keeping the focus on the birthday girl! I'm very impressed by her professional performance! Thanks Melody and wishing well for fulfilling her dream!

I can't recommend Kalinda and Wishing Well Entertainment enough. They made my twins birthday a truly special day. Speaking for the kids, my family and all guests. Our Rapunzel was amazing and my daughter talked about Rapunzel until the moment she fell asleep. So many guests made a point to reach out to me during the party and tell me how amazing Rapunzel ( Danielle ) was. All of the guests had high praise for her and a few guests asked if we had hired her from Disneyland. I could go on but to say that Wishing Well Entertainment made our day a truly magical day is an understatement. There are so many character companies but if you want the best use this company. Our Rapunzel was so great with all the kids and Kalinda is super professional with every detail.

Thank you wishing well entertainment for your professionalism and amazing communication. The unicorn fairy princess was a huge hit at my daughters 5th birthday party. She was on time and came in looking so gorgeous with a huge smile ready to entertain all the kids. Brenna was an awesome unicorn fairy my daughter couldn't stop talking about her. We can't wait to hire your company for our next party.

i used the company for my daughter bday. we booked moana (Janay) and we think she' s the best moana ever. My daughter enjoyed every little activities that she did. im surely recommend her and will probably booked another party with them. thank you... update 2019. i used them again for my daughter bday and we have brenna for Rapunzel and shes amazing my daughter lover her and she taught the kids how to do canvas painting.. thank you brenna

Spiderman was AMAZING! Big shout out to Zach. Our four year old was over the moon! Can't recommend this service enough!

We had Ariel for our daughter's 3rd birthday today. She was sooooooo great with all the little ones! She did bubbles, player games, and did magic tricks. My daughter was in heaven! Wishing Well was easy to work with there was no guessing at all. They are professional and their contract is very clear! We would definitely have characters from them again!

The company is amazing! From the moment I called they were very friendly and were able to assign the two characters for our kids' party. And what about the characters? The Princess Leia was very nice to all the kids (around 40) and had them entertained for the whole 1.5hr. The Chewbacca, even though he didn't talk (only made the sound that Chewie does) he stole the show. Everybody was so happy with him, he interacted well with kids, teens and adults. I will definitely give them a call again! Spending money on characters for party is a well spent money since it creates so many good memories. The yelp reviews speak for themselves. I thought about not writing one since they already had so many good ones but how can I not do it when they were simply awesome! Look no further!

I can only speak for one experience, but that experience has guaranteed I will hire them forever for anything. Heck, I may have Spider-Man come to MY party! Spider-Man had stories. Hero pose lessons. A treasure hunt. He kept these kids going for literally hours. What's more, he was a consummate improv artist, finding a way to validate and include everyone, from the kid with answers to everything to the child too scared to move. He didn't just play the character, he was sensitive, kind and filled with humor. It would be easy to do a job like this and just give the bare minimum. This guy deserves a medal for coming out in the rain and providing pure magic for everyone. My daughter was so smitten, she tried to give him her share of the piñata candy.

This review is LONG overdue. I was looking to get Moana to entertain the children at my daughter's party back in October and thanks to Yelp, I found Wishing Well Entertainment! I read some great things about Janay, so I messaged Kalinda and she let me know that Janay was available (YAY!). The whole process was organized and smooth and all the kids were thrilled to see Moana in our backyard! Janay was punctual and brought crayons and pictures to color, a parachute, a little stuffed Pua prop, face paints, stickers, and books to read. She kept the kids engaged and had a ton of energy and a permanent smile on her face. If you're looking for entertainers, I highly recommend this company! And if you are looking for a Moana, be sure to request Janay :)

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Working with Wishing Well was a delight from start to finish, from the initial emails with Kalinda to the actual showtime with Anna & Elsa for my daughter's 3rd birthday party. The rates are very reasonable for such an authentic & high quality presentation. Anna & Elsa were in character right out of their "carriage" and made the rest of the night so magical. Parents were blown away too and asked "where did you find them?". For an hour they captivated the kids telling stories, singing songs (and, man, can they SING) and helping with the cake ceremony. The only drawback was that my daughter was sad that they had to go back to Arendelle. Thank you Wishing Well for such a memorable night!

First off Let me Say you Guys are Amazing, I wanted to make my Twins 5th birthday party extra special and wanted Spider Man to be our special Guest last min I thought of this all during Thanksgiving holiday. Kalinda communicated well and quickly and was able to make it happen. Spider-Man came on time and was very good and interacted so well with the children (Thanks Zach). My kids are telling everyone spiderman came to my birthday party . Thank you and if your thinking about hiring a character from them Do It! You will be impressed with the services they provide!

I can't say enough about Wishing Well Entertainment. This company makes my daughter's birthday party a winner every time. Kalinda and her team always comes through with fun, quality performances and interactions. The performers swoop in, take over with the kids and create non-stop fun, allowing the hostess time to mingle with the guests and finally relax. The kids are engaged the entire time with games, face-painting, you name it. They will tailor an agenda just for you. The kids are playing and laughing the entire time with the performer at the helm. The performers are the "real thing" not like those cheap imitations you see on Hollywood Blvd or with other companies. Kalinda has often worked above and beyond to find me last minute performers. The Santa we booked for my company party was to die for. My residents were so thrilled. It made their holiday so special. BOOK NOW! You will not be disappointed. This service is worth every cent!

We have used Wishing Well Entertainment for a princess (Frozen) and pirate (Captain Savvy!!!) for my children's birthday parties and they are truly phenomenal. They make the party!! You truly can sit back and watch magic come to life as they entertain the children. It's remarkable how on point they are with their character personality and never for a moment go out of character. They are a dream come true for a kid, you won't be disappointed if you hire this company. They are incredible and have top notch professional actors!! I highly, highly recommend!!

We reserved Spiderhero. Dustin was INCREDIBLE! From the moment he made his entrance, he was ON POINT! My son was in AWE and everyone, including the adults were enamored by him. Dustin has the patience of a golden god, he has the spiderhero personality down to the t. He took our party to the next level! The kids loved superhero training and the fact that he took any pics our guests wanted, led the happy birthday song for the cake and cheered every kid on for the piñata just made the party so memorable for all! Thank you SO MUCH DUSTIN, wishing well really found a super star! We will most definitely reserve with wishing well again! Smooth reservation process and you can tell they select their characters with care!

melissa came as elena and she was AHHHHHMAZING!!! she was right on time (my friend even saw her parking 25 minutes prior to the time she was supposed to arrive! a mother's dream!!!)! her entrance was so sweet. she greeted my daughter and she was smitten. she gave my daughter all of her attention while still managing to make the other kids special as well. such a pro! she did a lot of fun activities with the kids: face painting story time animal balloons dance party hot potato singing guessing game crowning cake singing and lastly, PICTURES!!! she did all of those in ONE HOUR! i've been to parties with princess characters and melissa takes the cake!!! we emailed prior to the event and i told her that my daughter was very up-to-date with elena's tv show and she really did her homework! she told the kids stories from the last ep of the show. the kids were amazed! i highly recommend booking her for your kids' events! she is super professional! and even has a great singing voice!

This is our 2nd time using Wishing Well Entertainment. Gaby as Elena of Avalor was amazing! She brought so much joy to my daughter and her friends. She kept them all entertained, did great face painting, and even some magic! The whole booking process is fast and easy. We as a family highly recommend Wishing Well Entertainment

My experience with Wishing Well Ent. was great from beginning to end. Melody R. as Elsa was AMAZING!!! She stayed in character the entire time and was able to hold the kids attention. My 3 year old and all 30+ kids loved everything about her. I will definitely be using Wishing Well Ent. again . Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience.

I have been making this wish in my heart but with no luck. There is a man I met while finishing my degree in '95. We had a torrid affair that lasted over 20 years. We were separated by fate. I am still in love with this man and wish I could see him again. I know he has moved on and so have I but we were so close. I wish he was still a part of my life again.

Hi Randi! Tossing a coin into a fountain or a wishing well, wishing upon a shooting star or merely giving well wishes to a stranger for good luck (on his lotto purchase, lol) is anything of a positive feeling to give one's self the feeling of cheerfulness in contentment on small matters, and a nice impression of a person's good character. It doesn't hurt to wish upon a well or a star of course, especially to non-believers and such, for me, it brings the child in us as we were brought up learning many stories of the enchanting world.

Lovely and enjoyable read! Thanks Randi!

This is a great topic for a hub. I have not been around a wishing well for years, but I have thrown coins in the fountain, made wishes and so forth. This is a very interesting hub that I really enjoyed.

Great hub, Randy! I like the idea that we can make some wishes by throwing some coins.... but best of all, some places where you can throw your coins gather the money to help some good causes.... so everybody is a winner :-)

The idea of wishes coming true through some sort of magical ritual is an idea that appeals to us all - especially as children. A visit to my local wishing well was always a favourite expedition as a child.

We also said a rhyme when we saw the first star of the evening:

"Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight,

I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight!"

Thanks for an enjoyable read and the memories :)

I love this btrbell! I am such a kid it appealed to my sense of child likeness! lol! the one thing I still do even today, is if I see the full moon through glass, I turn round three times and then either make a wish or throw salt over my shoulder, or if I see the moon outside and its full just make that wish! can't get out of the habit! lol! but I do love wishing wells, there is something so magical about them, loved it! voted up and shared! nell

What a lovely idea for a wishing well Randi and in your own beautiful way everything you touch turns to a golden memory and experience because you always do such a nice job on your hubs. I just posted and link your 'wishing well' on my FB page and will send you a nice card on your wall so check it out - yes I just woke up with first cup of coffee after night shift with some nice J.S. Bach at 2:24pm and both cats back outside after being brought in last night against their will just before a brutal wind and rainstorm as I was preparing to go to work but the air is cooler today and last week's heat wave is gone and yes both cats have their god given right restored, lol, and are back outside.

Always so nice hanging out with you my ravishing Randi and I am sending to you 3 big hugs from Tiffy, Gabriel and Colin and I always love the eclectic nature of your hub subjects. We will make a wish for the health and happiness of your family, Randi

If it were not for people believing in the power of making a wish by tossing a coin in the fountain, the fountain at Trevi would be devoid of coins. I visited that famous landmark one year and could not believe how many coins covered the bottom of the fountain.

I too love the concept.. although parting with my special coin will be difficult.. but nonetheless would probably make that wish at that time just as special.. great hub

Thank you so much for visiting my page, W1totalk! I think what really matters is that you are realizing your wishes and not so much how you execute the request! Try it sometime! It's fun!

Thank you, Mary! It was fun to write. My kids were the ones that told me about the clock. I haven't done too much "research" on it but I do know that there is a song from 2006 written about it and I have found some info about it being superstitious or foreboding. I think, personally, it is just appealing to see. Thank you so much for your votes and share!

I see wishing wells but am never sure how to wish I guess. Thank you for this hub.

Fascinating choice for a hub btrb. The kid in all of us wants to believe wishes come true, just listen to Jiminy Cricket!

I like the way you added wishing on a star and pointed out some other ways we "make wishes".

I have to admit I never heard of kissing the clock but I did once work with a guy who always seemed to look at the clock at 1:11 or 11:11...strange.

    Voted up, useful, and interesting.

Very interesting indeed---I truly enjoyed the idea of this hub!

Strangely, even in India we have such beliefs about 'Making a wish', almost in the same way. Along with the Well, we also toss coin into a River, and make a wish, while passing along a river bridge or when we go near a river.

When I had visited Italy, my whole family tossed coins into the Trevi fountain. It was fun to join the mad rush of people doing the same thing.

No one knows, what will happen in future and this is also true that to achieve something, one has to do hard work and put in sincere efforts. But I do believe in 'Hope' like any other human being. Why to leave an opportunity of 'Making a wish'.

Believe it or not, there are more 'Believers' than 'Non believers.'

    Very interesting hub--Voted up! Thanks!

I don't believe in any of it but it doesn't keep me from doing it, lol. Who wants to miss out on a possibility! Great fun read.

Wow! Thank you so much lyricwriter! You honor me! Yes, even at my age and track record, I cannot resist a fountain, well or star! Hmm, may have just come up with the perfect first tattoo for me! Thank you, again!

Cool topic for a hub, Randi! I'm a sucker for wishing wells, but do I believe in them? Sorry, the skeptic in me won't allow that. LOL Good job of writing.
